Final Goodbye

A poem for a man I once knew

If I was to write you a love letter
That was so sweet it made you cry
Would you give me a chance to prove my love
Or would you still look at it as wasting your time?
If was to lay next to you
Would you even look in my eyes
Or would you turn away from me
And leave my in the dark to cry?
If I talked to you for hours
Would you finally understand
My love for you's not changing
I'm doing all I can.
If I was to say I need you here
Would you still wish to go
Or is there still a chance for us
If I leave I'll never know.
If I was to write you a poem
Would you read with your heart
Or would you just toss it aside
Not caring because we're apart?
I love you is all I know right now
But I'm strong enough to give you up
My herat will heal over time
And I'll always remember when it was us.
