how love can quickly turn into despair

CONFUSED

Never been so confused
never felt so used
nowhere to run to
no one to turn to

She said she loved me
I believed her
she claimed to be my friend
I was faithful to her

I thought what she thought
I felt what she felt
although we led different lives
I thought we had something in common

Is she really true to me
does she mean what she says
is she in it for fun
or does she want to be friends

Does she like who I am
or is it what I'm not
can she like me as she says
or is it my imagination

Don't know where to turn
can't find a friend to listen
is this friendship
