emptiness

this is about hving everything u desire but still a sense of loss prevails

EMPTINESS
Sometimes when I feel
emptyinside,
I just go out walking
to fill myself and
to fill the void within me

I walk on dry leaves
And try to fill myself with the noise
of dry leaves under my feet
but nothing happens.

I comeback, sit in my window
looking at the setting sun
The birds going home are chirping
And I try to fill myself
With the noise of birds
But nothing happens

Then it is dark
Pitch dark
Complete silence
The only audible sound is
made by the clock tik tik tik
I try to fill myself
With the noise of clock
But nothing happens

So much and so much more
To fill in
Still I feel,all around me
nothing but
Emptiness.

But then isn`t it same
With everyone
Deep inside we are all
nothing but empty
Trying invain..............
To fill ourselves with things
that really don`t matter.
We all keep trying
But at the end of the day
all that we achieve is nothing but
Emptiness.
