A short poem about someone forced into being someone they aren't. |
| When you look into my eyes, Won't you tell me what you see? The smiling girl you think you know Is not a part of me. The smile you see is but a mask, Covering the chaos inside. The chaos that con trols my mind, The chaos that I thought had died. When I look in the mirror, Shall I tell you what I see? I see your smiling face, my love, Staring back at me. The smile I see is out of reach, It haunts me in my dreams. This hateful dream just will not end, Nothing here is as it seems. When I look at you, Do you know what I see? Do you feel the happiness That you have, but is denied me? |
