In Waiting

This was after I realized my mistake.

In his arms I felt so safe
But I said goodbye.
Now I'm broken inside,
Hurting inside as I know he was.
He has moved on now,
Found another someone,
He is going forward,
As I go backward.
I'm in waiting.
Waiting for the one of my dreams,
Hoping he'll come back to me.
He has it good,
And so does she,
They belong together,
As they should be.
But I'm in waiting,
But not being able to do anything else.
