Nightmare

I have no idea why I wrote this

Lost in the shadows of the night

Running, hiding

The voices call out

Searching, hunting

The fear is tangible

Blood racing, heart pounding

They will find you

Cut you, kill you

When the dawn arrives

You will be gone, destroyed

All a dream, part of the void

You can save yourself

Just wake from the nightmare

But you can not or will not

To awake you have to believe
