Just plain goofy

God-like it sat across from me
glowing in sea of discontent
Shouting for me to place a hand
To press the keys that gave it life

I fought the urge with a rugged sword
The best defense my mind could muster
Addiction to sit and drown away time
Was the way this lord of lawlessness took me

Statistics and news it filled me with knowledge
I learned things that were like a grain of sand
Everything slipping through the cracks
The power chord needs to be cut on this damn machine

This DemiGod winning now I truly joined the battle
Bringing out a weapon that no foe in one's mind could match
Like a lions roar, I simply yawned and said
It is time for sleep you damn dirty machine

Its last line of defense was merely to throw up
Advertising demons, all of which had startled me before
Victory was mine as I closed the laptop
A little green light blinked to let me tomorrow was another day!!!
