Anger

this is a description of someone who is experiencing more anger than they can handle.

Anger lit up my face like a red hot light bulb
spread across my chest
and ended in my gut, slowing burning out of control
hotter than any flame that Satan ever withstood
in his worse days in hell.


Words caught in my throat
jagged edged, as venomous as a black widow's bite
choked me like a jealous spouse
bent on destruction.

I leaned against the sink
steadied myself
with shaking hands
turned and smiled as sweetly as Betty Crocker with a new cookie recipe
and said
"How was your day, dear
Would you like a cup of coffee?"
