Letting Go

You said good-bye so violently
Left me corrupted and broken
Took apart pieces of me inside
Kept the best parts as your token

Everything I loved you stole
Put into a bottle and let it brake
Blood and bone scattered around me
Saying you did it all for my sake

You gave me my own souvenir of pain
Pushed me against the wall of shame
This is supposed to be letting me go
You whispered just before you came

I'm taking it all back from you
And I am completely letting go
Dead flowers lie where you lay
This time I will let you dig your own hole
