| He buttons up his shirt, Heaves a sigh, And leaves for work Haunted by his feelings for you. His heart is weak Where the darkness hurt him, But just one one your smiles Shattered darkness's grip. He drives down the quiet roads With nothing to hold his mind Except for thoughts of you. He wonders what he did right To deserve you as a friend, and what he did wrong To love you so much, and know he has no chance.
