Goodbye

this is a poem about letting go.

Goodbye to the anger,
Goodbye to the pain,
Goodbye to the fear,
Goodbye to the shame,


Goodbye to the nightmares,
Awakening me each night,
Goodbye to the person,
For he is out of sight.
Goodbye to the hurt inside.

Goodbye to my shell,
Goodbye to the sadness,
I've come out in stride.
