A simple poetic account of the Creation story |
| In Six Days IN SIX DAYS, IN SIX DAYS THE LORD MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH! IN SIX DAYS, IN SIX DAYS CREATION HAD ITS BIRTH! At first He made the light He spoke and it was so and then came day and night the first day thus did go. The second made the sky to waters separate He made it wide and high to show that He is great! And then came land and seas the third day it was so The Good Lord it did please to have vegetation grow. And on the fourth of days the moon the stars and sun He placed that we should gaze and watch their courses run! And on the day of five the Good Lord by His word sea creatures made alive and formed the flying bird. And on the sixth of days came creatures of the land a vast array did raise by His almighty hand. He then created Man in the image of His own according to His plan He made them flesh and bone. And on the seventh day God took Himself a rest and so should we today if we would do our best! |
