a poem about how lives have been ruined by liquor |
| liquid So many lives have you ruined So many suffered from your dirty tricks A touch of poison emerging from that hot liquid And the voyage to cloud nine is snatched by a hissing tornado When you start playing your foolish games The very devil springs up from those innocent eyes The smile, the sparkle, the contentment all but vanish in a snap You totally change them, your spirit destroys them. Chained I am from a past so agonizing And who do you think is the culprit? Isn’t it you who caused this great wreckage? Isn’t it you who destroyed them all? They succumbed to you, all those I love You tempted them into your lair You carefully etched in their minds The very symbol of their doom Oh, there’s nothing worse than you Your stink is like that of a rotten pig Your very appearance is like the devil himself As you go on advertising the path to total misery Trying to lure me into your lair, aren’t you? But no, you can kiss your wicked schemes goodbye I’m not letting you snare me into your trap I’m not letting you put an end to a life worth living |
