Deep In Time

Written during a difficult time when all I could do was pray and remember better times.

The longer I live
the deeper I go
into life’s tunnel
where destiny flows

Moving further and further
down its course
entangled in its web
pulled by its force

Seeking refuge
from the storms I’m pulled through
and delighting in the sunlight
that I once knew

Watching the events
one by one
thinking back
to when it had all begun

To a time much simpler
when I could feel at ease
and destiny hadn’t grabbed my life
and held on with a squeeze

But as I get pulled
deeper in time
I resolve to climb up its providence
knowing that its end will be sublime.
