Love the imagery and the enviable emotional note to which the story finds a pleasing melancholy end. The pacing of the time seems to have slowed dramatically for Jack, sucking the reader into his somber tale. The representation of the sweater though seems to be the only emotional cord to which the reader can relate to. Though I believe the lack of contextual background was artfully accomplished, I feel like it requires more of a glimpse into the thoughts and emotions of Jack as a character. There are a few emotional high notes that could significantly add to the emotional crescendo of the story if more hidden emotions or even past events are revealed to the reader. For the size of the story what you have accomplished so far is amazing, hats off.
