I really like this work. Somehow it takes me to Thomas' 'The boys of Summer" .
I'm not sure why you use the & sign although it works very well in the second. Personally I struggle with it in the fifth where for me leaving it out isn't a problem and is actually my favorite: lovers spinning in a funnel ....after a summer love.
In any case it's lovely,
