A really good piece of writing! It grabbed me from the start and kept my interest. It is very descritive. The only fault I can find is that for a non-military reader it can get a bit confusing. How far is a click? (I'm an old WWII guy so that even confused me a bit). I got all the other abreviations, but non-military readers may have trouble. I assume the first time these abriviations are mentioned there is a little explaination. After that there would be no problem.
