At the beginning of the poem before we knew the man and woman were both feediing Boots I felt curiosity and amusement coming from him while he watched Sammy. When he spoke of his family who left him I literally felt my heart pull. When he said he doesnt remember his name I could imagine the wistful hurt in his voice. When it got to the part when he was speaking to the man and woman I could feel how alone he felt and the want that was in him for family and love. You did a wonderful job at making me feel. Thank you for sharing.
