I've done several night school classes and can relate to being older, and also paying attention. Never have I heard a report like Laura's. Although I have always understood other cultures being the same, and got her report I had never seen it from this point of view, and told so wonderfully.
I hope you have had many other readers here to open their eyes and 'get' Laura's report.
This is a wonderful idea, to have writers review work, or look for talent here at Writing.com. I think that some of the movies and television shows out there today are unbelievable, or the dialog awful. I also find that many of them are a near rip off of old shows or movies that were once big hits.
I find that personal experience stories turned into shows or movies are better than any of the other because they are realistic. I truly hope plenty of writers are used, and rate your work.
When I read your poem I was reminded of how I felt when I meditate. The poem touches a lot of how my soul can travel along the journey without a map, or even a guide book to take me along. Spirit guides will be along the journey, and not say a word before leading you to various places, and showing you things.
I find that you don't have to meditate to actually reach this spiritual place in your mind. If insightful enough, you can walk a trail of life and see these things on your own. Obviously you have this talent as this poem clearly shows. Good work!
