I love the eerie atmosphere of this story! You have a great opening; the flickering sodium lamps sucked me in right away. The story left me wanting at the end, though. Flash fiction usually has a resolution of some kind (though that doesn't mean you can't leave finish on a mysterious note!). It's something I struggle with, too.

Overall, good work. Write on!
