This is some excellent work! Very well written, great story, and it flows really nicely. A bite sized story about a bite sized magical forest. I got to ask, was this at least partly inspired by true events (say a certain cat)?
You might be overthinking things. However, I had a similar issue when coming up with names for my dergs (dragons). I would suggest creating a poll item for each of the the two name choices (that would be two polls total) and then post the polls on the Newsfeed for WDC authors to vote on.
Nice story! You gave some really good detail, both of your dragon form and the environment around you. I enjoyed the part about going fishing. It felt very realistic the way you you told it. The last part of the story was humorous and ended your flash fiction very nicely.
That was absolutely wonderful! It literally brought tears to my eyes! While I can't say I've felt anywhere near your level of emotions it reminds me of the times I become really conscious of just how many true friends I've had in life, especially those here on WDC. Just remember that you are never alone. If nothing else, God/Allah will never leave you, he has promised us that he will watch over us until the time of eternity comes.
This was a great poem! It was really nicely written and the rhyming flowed really well. The topic was a great choice. I loved how the kids ganged up on the monsters with brooms and stuff to help the scared mice. This definitely took me back to my childhood (yes I was a kid once ). Keep writing and follow your muse!

This kind of choked me up. Your Dad sounds like an interesting guy. I'm sorry that they both he and your Mom both passed away so early. I feel bad that your siblings are so scattered that you can't get together with them. Keep that special memory in your heart.
I found this to be a very interesting item. I thought you came up with some nice, interesting, and useful rules of thumb for awkward conversations. I will save this set of tips to refer to just in case. It's the sort of thing that might come in handy later on.
This was absolutely amazing! I loved how you played the reader with the given information. I also thought living next to German shepards was extremly clever. The only thing I don't quite get is the hand. I've never heard of a sheep toy but I guess that's just me. Anyways, it was a bloody brilliant story. Very filling.
I sort of like the sentences used, but a lot of this leaves me very confused. First, the title is "Ways to Disappear", but nothing in the text has anything to do with this. Second, is the line "It will be simple she said." What will be simple exactly? It feels like there was a previous conversation that the reader is not made aware of.
I like the nonsense poem. A few thoughts on the poem. First, "Yogi Bear flying at supersonic speeds", that must be some picnic basket! Second, have you made sure this was ok with the original writers? If I had copied/pasted for my English essay's I would have gotten an F for plagiarism. Lastly, even copying/pasting sounds like too much work for me for a goof off day. I would have started with the nap!
This was absolutely wonderful. I truly felt like I was there watching it like a movie. The setting, characters, and emotions were flawless. I love the idea of a kitsune hiding in plain site in a business. The whole furry/I'm a fox bit was refreshingly lightly humorous. The twist with an owed debt and a search for the guy was a perfect touch. It ended very satisfactory and I hope you make a sequel. I'd love to see the relationship evolve and more use of the unorthodox existence and perils it might bring.
I love the gorgeously detailed scenes, settings, and characters. The story had a nice twist to it, but on the other hand it was also pretty predictable. The characters themselves felt very real. Their thoughts, conversations, and actions helped them feel like actual people actually going through the events. Overall this was an interesting read. Would you be up for a sequal taking place during the date?
This is one mouse my characters (myself) would love to have at their side. I'll think of this image while doing The Cave. The look really suits you. I especially like the rugged leather armor.
Oh man, where to start? First it was really emotional. The beginning was great. You first introduced us to the main character (and hero) through POV (point of view) which then transitioned to the intro of the other characters. You indirectly told us something was wrong, but withheld the details which really hooked me and made me want to continue reading. Second, the ending was both gripping and sad (in a good way). Third, your details were on spot and I enjoyed the little embellishments like the tears floating in the helmet. Overall, the short story was perfect in every way. I'm going to be crying for a bit, I wish you luck in your other writing endeavors.
This was rather interesting. I rather enjoyed the similarity to Douglas Adams "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy". It could have used a very depressed AI to match Marvin in my humble opinion. Overall a pretty great job though. Maybe you could make a sequel?
This is a super awesome poem! It flows and rhymes really well. I love how you created the creature with some rather disturbing descriptions. Then there was the part with the question of whether aliens observe us like we observe animals on Earth. I thought that was a nice touch.
I don't suppose absorbing magic & energy to grow bigger could be an option? Another of mine would be befriending humans who love dergs as friendly, mysterious creatures.
This was a nice prayer. We all need to take a step back and ask to be filled with the wonderful peace that only the Lord can bring. This is especially true when we are exhausted from life. This is when we need to be filled the most. It's good to know we can always ask for such spiritual sustenance.
