The great thing about this story excerpt is the mystery of it. Amazing descriptions...I love how you add a feel of 'memory' to this. Near the end, I assume you meant 'ever-ending', correct? Sorry, I have a tendency to correct such things. Keep writing. I think it's great you got something published! My dad is a hard working writer as well! :)
