Very nice! This reads very much like one of the classics would. It was nice to read something wonderfully descriptive. I feel that a lot of newer writers tend to skip this for action and dialogue, and their works suffer for it (mine included).

I'm not usually a big fan of poetry, but this one is pretty refreshing. It begins depressing, then swings into uplifting, and right back down into depressing with that last line. I love it!
