All the elements of a great short story are evident in this piece. The descriptions are marvelously fresh and engaging. It has a plot that is as interesting as it is novel. Most remarkable though, is the contrast between the comfy, warm coffee scene and the ultimate cofrontation. You led us down the garden path then ambused us. A most enjoyable read. Thank you for sharing this remarkable story.
