I enjoyed reading this. Maris is wanting adventure and is finding some already. The dialog is interesting, especially Mizzy's accent.

On the other hand, usually in a book, a new paragraph gets indented and doesn't have an extra line in between. Also the phrase about the stage fit for dancers seems to be there twice, and I'm sure of the reason for that.
