I don't even have parents or family in the military but this poem almost made me cry it was so realistic and touching! Really captures the personality of a young girl with a father in the military, but if there's any way other than the description to show the narrator's a girl you may want to do so
prithee and thee are a bit out of place and you might want to change beast the second time you use it to another synonym for variety, but otherwise outstanding message and poem!
