Definetly above average. You ended each stanza with a good word and the poem is short. Make sure all your poems are short because poems are defined to be written pieces that contain the fewest words but with the most meaning.

Althought above average, I did not understand the shadow part. Who does he represent? Is he supposed to be someone that is close that can betray you or a nearby observer.

And the last thing is you may want to work on your violence. The one you mention above is the kind we have heard of in movies and are desentized (sp) to it.

But other than that I enjoyed this creepy atmosphere of this poem. Keep on writing, don't weaken your skills.
