That last line really got to me. When I reread the poem I saw how you had set it up perfectly - the first lines are quite clinical and, dare I say it, cool, and therefore keep me, the reader, at a distance. But then there is the shock of the last line, which is like being pulled through cold space with all the planets and stars rushing by, into a sudden warm hug.
Wonderful.
