| Small question. Not entirely sure if it's appropriate asking this here, but it's been a while and I've lost touch with the membership guidelines. If my upgraded membership expires and I transfer the groups with merit badges commissioned, the badges can still be awarded, right? And while we're on the subject, anybody want two MB commissioned groups by any chance? |
This poem is 100% true and happening right now.
Have a nice day! -TG |
Wrote something! So I realised today how much I've changed in a year and most of it could be attributed to one person. Not my best work, but this pretty much sums up any relationship I've had. (Feeling the blues. Is there ever a different colour with me, I wonder?)

| This might seem a little out of the blue but - Who here hasn't given Andy~hating university (And Andy, if you're reading this - well, desperate times call for desperate measures.) |
Weekly goals complete! Woohooo!
I truly am not looking for reviews of this piece - this is kind of a touchy subject. In other news, I just found this (and if you're a Harry Potter fan, it's pretty awesome |
| Small help on a matter of research. Has anyone been to the Beinecke Library in Connecticut? Please let me know - I just need a little info, and I promise I won't pester you too much. |
| I looked it up just to see what the big deal was. Wow! I would like to see it when it is open again. |
| http://www.theatlantic.com/photo/2015/11/scenes-from-the-american-west-150-years... Check out the kind of stuff at Beinecke |
| Let's face it. Procrastination and me - we're happy with the way things are going since we got together. One review One short story One poem I understand that these are baby steps (nope, we'll make that sloth steps), but given that I have exams soon, this is pretty much all I can trust myself with. Wish me luck? (On both counts?) -TG |
| Greetings people of WDC I'm slowly trying to focus on my writing. I'll admit it'll take a while before I'm fully functional here again - still figuring out a balancing act that doesn't topple me over. I have a lot of loose ends left to tie up, which again is going to take time. Meanwhile, I'm taking baby steps - rusty, poetic baby steps themed around a certain festivity to be more specific.

| Some unfortunate news : I tried really, really hard to balance college and my writing but it just isn't working. I don't believe I can come online here anymore. We just got our schedule for the semester and we have exam after exam, practically every week, until the University models in December. To add to that, some of our professors left and our new ones aren't really helping matters - these days, I'm spending my every waking minute at the library just to catch up because they don't really teach us the way our old professors did. I'm held up for the next few months until we have vacation. So I guess this is goodbye for now to WDC. |
Thank you so much for the early donations and the support
I'm super excited though I will need help running this - any volunteers? (You can still participate in the activities you're not helping out with Have a great day! -TG |
| Finally! It took a huge chunk out of my weekend but I believe this is definitely worth it. Feeling very excited about this and I sure wish I wasn't the one hosting - there's just so much to win A huge thank you to all the groups contributing for this! By the way, we're open for donations - every donor of 20K gets a merit badge. Trust me, for an activity like this - we need it -TG |
| It's all coming together. PS - Ominous smirking aside, is anybody really good with writing ML? I'm having some problems and I could use some help with the editing. |
| I still don't understand. Markup language? what do you do or how do you do it and what is it's purpose. Scorpio |
| On a website you would use HTML which stands for HyperText Markup Language. It's language that the computer understands, that is hidden behind the scenes. On a website I might use <b>to make my font bold</b> or <i>to make my font italic</i> for example. On Writing.com we have a similar markup language that is specific to this site. So I can use {b}to make my font bold{/b} or {i}to make my font italic{/i}. Every time you use {e:smile}, you're using markup language. |
" What happens to a group merit badge if the group item is transferred to someone else?
As long as the group is still active on Writing.Com, the merit badge attached to it will also stay active in our shop."
Those were two great activities.
