I have given the story a complete revamp. Originally, this story was written for a contest. The first draft was nearly 5,000 words, but there was a 3000 word limit for the contest. After attempting to trim the story, I got it down to about 3,300 words, but I had to take so much content out that the story became sterile and boring. Give this story a read and tell me what you think? It is still in the fine editing phase, but I want to get it out there and gauge its reception.
