This Covid is the worst illness I have ever fought. Talking is becoming a chore because of the sore throat and everything I could taste is now tasting like cardboard. I have a fever on and off with chills in between and cough that sounds like a fog horn having anger issues.
Hi, fellow artists. I was in the ER last night and was diagnosed with Covid 19. I am on antibiotics and ordered to rest.

I have hit a writer's block. First one in a while. I look at the screen or even a sheet of paper and my mind goes completely blank. I feel like the wheel is still turning but the hamster had tripped and was spinning with the wheel. Hoping to find some inspiration soon.

I have been sitting on this for a few days just to wrap my head around it. The doctors discovered my Aorta, (the main artery of the body, supplying oxygenated blood to the circulatory system) is partially blocked by cholesterol. Hence what was causing the anomaly they discovered in my lower left ventricle. It can be controlled with major diet restrictions and maybe resolved with new medications. Still, I may need surgery if the other options fail. I talk to my doctor on July 1st to come up with a strategy.
I can certainly empathize with your situation having faced my own health life crisis these past several months. I actually meet with doctors at the University of Kansas Healthcare Cancer Center tomorrow to see if I might be accepted into clinical trials for my cancer. My surgery in April was successful. I hope the trials will help control or kill any microscopic cancer cells remaining. Prayers that you and your doctor find the right path for your health issues.
Happy Memorial Day to all who have served or are still serving.
I came across something a week or so ago that I hadn't realized until reading this: Armed Forces Day (this year on May 17th) expresses gratitude for those currently serving in the Armed Forces. This is not an official federal holiday. Memorial Day (honored on the last Monday in May) honors those who have died in military service. Veterans Day (honored on 11 Nov annually) celebrates all who have served in the Armed Forces, both the living and the deceased.
I have been dealing with some family drama as of late. My mother is suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer's disease. My little brother is moving out of state due to his deteriorating health. As for me, I am finding myself sleepy all the time. I have tests lined up to see if I need to be on O2 full time. I will know more by the end of June when all the tests have been run. My sister is having health issues as well but I have been asked not to speak of them. I will keep you all posted.
I had sleep apnea, which caused me to fall asleep during the day. Went to the doctor about it after I almost fell asleep driving home from work one day. I had no idea of the problem.

I have lost most of my hearing. Yesterday, I could hear clearly but today, I can barely hear at all. I am hoping it is temporary.
I hope it's just temporary. I remember one time I had a bad head cold and I couldn't hear sounds I normally could. It lasted a few days and went away but it was super annoying. I'm not sure you're going through the same thing but whatever the case I hope your hearing comes back.
