Been procrastinating studying all morning. Something about not using herppies...or maybe not knowing how to spell herpes. Jeremy This post? It's weird but AI was not used to genterate. Anyhoo, I should probably go now! Hmm. Otay bye-bye!

Spud- a writer
I'm so done with Genealogy. I'm done trying to figure out who I am. Don't ask me who my ancestors were or who my people are. I am Spud and I am a writer. I make shit up because I like to write fiction. My cousin can take their facts and shove them up their ass! I am no one and nothing but Spud.

I have a new rule: No Genealogy after 11:00pm! Believe it or not, this isn't because of my class. I saw a message from a sixth cousin of mine. I've been talking to them about the Asbell line on my dad's side. I suggested maybe if we could find a military record or a school record for my 7th great grandfather. They replied back that I "obviously wasn't aware of how rare records are back then." I went and spouted off all the research I've done on military records of the time. How I "knew" that if the oral tradition of John and William being Cherokee on their mother's side was true; we wouldn't find any written records. (Sequoia wouldn't invent Cherokee sylabary until around 1830.) How I'd searched for records from the Bafferton School (the only Indian School that was in operation when John and William were school age) and found them to be scant. Then I went on about how the Cherokee society was traditionally matriarchal so the bothers would have belonged to their mother's clan. Not had their father's surname. I even speculated that at some point when my 7th great grandfather and 7th great uncle had their names Anglicized when they fought in the American Revolution that their clan name had been bungled into the surname "Asbell". Sorry for the text wall, I went a little nuts. Long story cut off; I spent until nearly four in the morning stewing in my own ruminations. On a genealogical problem I can't hope to solve.
Just talked to my dad. Things are looking up. His surgery went well and he should be released in the next couple of days. Only weird plot twist is they discovered his heart rate is variable sometimes.

I've added a new entry to my book, "Spud's Worms" : "Sleep Hygene" in which I get stuck being vulnerable. Okay fine it was my choice.
