Wrote this a few years ago. Decided to share it because it's a very different tone from the sci-fi stuff I've been working on recently. It's long but (I like to think) worth the read, especially if you're interested in the Civil War or American slavery.

About halfway through Part 3 of The Halloween Event. This story just keeps getting weirder and weirder. The first scene may be the most f***ed up thing I've ever written ... and that's saying a lot! Stay tuned!
