As a newbie, I need to improve my writing skills, do share your experience as well as tips for writing. Thanks.
Keep your eye on the Community Newsfeed (different from your Personal Newsfeed). Sometimes you'll see an ad for a writing class on here. They usually cost 10k GPs, so start saving if you don't have that much yet. *Wink* Mostly the ones you're likely to see are the Show, Don't Tell class that teaches you how to write descriptively and the House of Sensual Prose classes who teach you about writing sexy stuff, but probably includes techniques you can carry over into none sensual writing as well. If you see New Horizons classes being advertised, they have a lot of classes like commas, punctuation, grammar, etc. but that group has been mostly closed down, I think. Anyway, keep clicking "View the Community Newsfeed" and check. They aren't advertised all the time, but they do pop up from time to time. *Smile*
Same as Schnujo's having school probs said there are classes on here you can take. The more you write, the better you get. There's also reviewing that I feel like improves your writing as well.

I've been writing since I was five. *Shock2* Just journals and all that, competed when I was in college, I do get paid for my writing but not too crazy... but I'll take it. My writing has improved since I've been on here. Look at my old writing from when I was sixteen and what it's like now (much older than that now.) Good luck!
And DreamingofSpace has a good point too, do it every day. No matter how great or tiny, it will improve you.

No doubt. *Frown* The only consolation I get is knowing sometimes we accidentally hurt them as well. *Wink*
Sometimes, your kids give you such an amazing feeling that warmth you, make you energetic and smooth. It was my birthday and my son, just two years old, keeps on wishing me in his stammering voice....appy b'day to to, appy b'day mama. He truly made my day.
