Good morning, Alexi,

Suddenly, this is a special day.
         Two years in one place? *palmsup*
         Personal congratulations from a respected colleague and friend. *Music2*
e:sparklers} aw*RIGHT*!
         We are moving house, a circus of confusion thanks to the desert heat and the local
cable company. You won't hear much from me until we have closed the doors on this
place for the last time.
         A wry point. Of the first four addresses I held in this city, all four have been
demolished. This place also will be torn down after we leave. I'd like to think
it's just something in the nature of this city, but ...
         I spent a year in NoCal back around 2000. Recently, I checked back via Google
maps. In place of my comfy little duplex across the river, someone has raised a two-story
multi-unit cracker box. I can't think to whom I should send my apology. Or that they
would have kept me in mind.
         Thank you for keeping me in mind today.
