Thank you anonymous and anony monkey for the gp's!  So very appreciated! {e:bigsmile) In other news... I know I haven't been on much lately, but I am checking in 3 or 4 times a week. Hoping to be around more here soon. Now and then life has a way of redirecting one's attention. But, all is well. The newsfeed moves quickly, and I haven't caught up on things, so if there is something you need or want me to know, shout out in my notebook or in an email, please, and I will get back to you when I check back in within a day or two. |

| Hi all, I apologize for not being around, but I have been trying to care for Koko, my sweet fur-baby who is not doing well. We had blood work done and she has severe anemia, severe pancreatitis, and a few other issues. It seems her immune system is in overdrive, too, which is never good. The vet hopes that prednisone will help the pancreatitis and the immune response, and I am giving my gal iron supplements, too, in hopes of improving the anemia. It is touch and go right now. Hopefully, with the new meds, she will begin to improve. If not, I can't let her go on like this for much longer. Prayers are appreciated. With all of this going on, I have not managed to get Christmas cards out. I hope you will all forgive me. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, great health, and a fantastic New Year! |
Like you, I had thought she was rallying and hoped she would have a miraculous recovery. I am sure that you have done everything you possibly could for her and she feels your great love for your. I'm so sorry, Patrece.     Keeping you and Koko in prayer. |
| I try not to whine too much publicly...but I just have to get this off my chest. Yesterday afternoon I arrived home from running errands to find that my nearly 11 year old female German Shepherd Koko was not doing well at all. This morning, she's still in a bad way. Called the vet and the vet can see her tomorrow at 3:30 pm, when she will complete a wellness check and try to determine what's going on. If she determines that poor Missy Koko is in her final hours, she will be put out of her misery. I just went through this on September 5th and am still trying to come to terms with that. I really hope it is something treatable, but I have my doubts and my heart is breaking. Then to add insult to injury, the wind is raging outside and has been since early this morning. I looked out my front window to find the wind snapped off a big tree in my front yard. It barely missed the house and my truck but crushed the chain-link fence and it's a huge horrible mess! I am however so thankful it missed the house and my truck. I think I could use some prayers right now.  |

It is taking a while to stop hurting so much, but is slowly getting better. As soon as I am to to being out and about, I will be sending something your way. |

| Did you know... Today has (at least) 4 occasions going on nationally. They are: Wed, Oct 6 National Coaches Day National Coffee with a Cop Day National German-American Day And most importantly... National Madhatters Day Although, if you happen to be Lilli ☕, you might think the second one on the list is the most important and a must-do!  So...I was thinking... Wouldn't it be great if a bunch of us donated just a bit to her coffee fund today? I mean, there are a lot of officers out there standing in line to have a coffee with her!
