For anyone interested, I am planning on promoting writing.com and various contests and activities found here, on my Tumblr and Youtube blog/vlog: Kate Sparks Creativity. Yesterday I posted about "Invalid Item" and "SCREAMS!!!" [GC] and will likely do so again, closer to Halloween/Fall. If you have a Tumblr or Youtube of your own,let me know, so we can follow each other.
I just realised yesterday (when I followed you) that my updates haven't been uploading to my tumblr because I had the wrong username.
How's everybody doing? I haven't been on here lately...I have mainly been working on a Tumblr blog and Youtube channel of the same name: Kate Sparks Creativity. I am hoping to maybe get on here and do some fall/Halloween challenges that may also wind up on my blog/vlog. Let me know what yal have going on, so I can participate! Links to my sites: https://katesparkscreativity.tumblr.com https://www.youtube.com/user/ezra2hot/playlists?view_as=subscriber I've had Youtube since about 2009, so the web link refers to one of my favorite western TV characters, Ezra Standish. I intend to do more fan art in the future, but I desire to change the name in future. I think I need 100 subscribers just to make my own custom link... It may be easier to just search for Kate Sparks Creativitiy. I have a few shopping haul videos (art supplies and my studio space) as well as a Harry Potter series for HP's birthday--a sorting hat cupcake reveal and art journal page. I'm hoping to do at least one story writing video in the next few days using story cubes.
Does anyone have or know of a good source for blogging tips (books, FB/WDC groups, etc)? I don't currently have an upgraded membership on WDC and I'm hoping to monetize the blog at some point. I think the focus of my blog is going to be travel oriented...but with the goal to provide information about creative shops and activities as well as photos of nature and touristy things. No idea what it will be called...or if I will focus on one region of the US as we've recently moved to Texas and are learning about new events and quilt shops and writers groups.
I don't really have a source for blogging tips. I started blogging years ago on Blogger and it was a decent sized blog for several years. I got into it just by reading and seeing what others were doing around the "blogosphere". However it was mostly about my town, my family, etc. I only recently got back into it. I have a blog here and on Wordpress. Sometimes they share entries, sometimes they don't. My point is, sometimes it can help to see what others blog about so feel free to explore the blogs on this site. Also, I joined two blogging communities here that give prompts to help "jump start" ideas. "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise" and "Blogging Circle of Friends "

Is anyone taking part in
Let me know if you have something to be nominated. |
Like making trinkets? Have you checked out this new activity? I am planning on nominating a trinket rather than making one... |
Does anyone run a contest similar to Legerdemain (Goes off to cry in corner after collecting trinkets...) Edit: the other contest referred to was run by Cinn
Some trinket love: I really like the location trinkets, particularly the ones that come with poems or information about the place. Also fantasy, book related, and Halloween trinkets For all the other not so specific trinket makers, your trinkets are awesome too! Thanks P.S.--The community newsfeed is a great way to find new stories and challenges as you are scrolling for trinkets. I had about ten windows open at one point.
So I looked into the trinkets thing and have collected about 7 of them. I think these things are pretty cool. I wonder if anyone will be using them as incentive for Nano prep in October/November.
I have been so focused on TRINKETS, I haven't posted any prep for "Thinking about NanoWrimo - Rebelliously!" .
Trying to decide whether I should go for a walk and then make cookies or make cookies and then go for a walk...either way, the cookies won't go far. It's finally feeling like fall (cool enough to bake in a house with no a/c)! I made cookie dough last week after having a dream about cookies but it was in the upper 80's most of the weekend. Also, I received an upgrade from the RAOK this weekend! I am hoping to post something new by the end of the week.
