| Well, I did it. I started NaNoWriMo 2023. Let's see what happens. It's been a while since I've written anything beyond email and code, but I think this will be fun. Project for this year... A Memoir. Since my time in China has officially ended, what better way to close that chapter and open a new one? |
Schnujo's having school probs   Well, if you have started, you're probably ahead of me at this point. Being on call this week has really put a damper on my desire to do anything. And I'm still on call until Monday morning at 7:30. Hoping my desire to be productive outside of my current job will return soon. |

You didn't get a Notification, because you don't get one for your own Account Anniversary or Birthday; the system kinda figures you already know that stuff. To get the periodic Achievement MBs, though, you have to click on My Account > Achievements. Whatever you've "earned" up to that point will then generate the appropriate MB(s). |
Question for Novelist Or anyone with a published book... Have you done a book tour? I've been living in China since I published my first book and the two that followed, but I will be heading back to America in the next year and a half long term and I'd like to do a book tour. | Sure! Long story short (hopefully): When I was growing up, I played an online game where you adopt pets. One of the pets I adopted was called Nazlia with a bunch of numbers after it. I eventually adopted LadyNazlia as my gaming handle partially because I wanted people to know I'm a female gamer and partially because I thought it was a unique name. Later, when I started writing, I wanted to use a pen name so I did some research into Nazlia and found out that it meant beautiful in Arabic. So I started writing as Nazlia L. Jones. Eventually, I decided to write under my real name. But I wanted something more unique for YouTube so I chose to use my gaming handle: LadyNazlia. |
