People, I need a little help... The thing is that I absolutely adore Coldplay band. I love their song to bits, and I have devoured all of there songs be it the live version, Unplugged version or the real version. Now, the problem is I need recommendation of a band which is similar in soul to them. I liked Imagine Dragons, Lifehouse to a certain extent but not much apart from them? Any recommendations?
Damn it, my math skills
I need some book recommendation, folks. I am looking for something in the humor genre and another in Mystery genre. Plus, any sci-fi lovers out there. Any good sci-fi movie like say Interstellar? My fingers need rest after G.O.T. but my mind wants more...
Man, WdC drives me nuts sometimes as it did last night. As I drifted into the dreams, I wondered what if WdC wasn't there tomorrow when I wake up - * PooF, just like that.. What would I do without the WdC world! Phew. Scary...
Shall we send a petition signed by all of us to Story master, Story mistress and Jack to keep this site going for ever
Erm...I am still poking with the possibility of taking a plunge with NaNoWriMo. I do not have any characters in mind, just a brief overview of what I want to do with the story. My question is, that we just need to register on NaNoWriMo right? We do have groups for that purposes on WdC, I believe, right?
You can do it! If you want a writing buddy, someone to help motivate you and to help during those rough spots I would be glad to help. Also if you sign up for the Write-A-Thon you get assigned to a team which is often a great source of support. If you are unsure of signing up for that you are welcome to unofficially join my team. This would give you all of the support of a team but your writing just won't contribute to our team totals. Anyway, let me know what you decide! Just remember it is ONLY 1667 words a day for 30 days...That you CAN do!
Is there a contest like "2 sentence horror story" on WdC? Wont it be fun to have one? If it gets love, maybe it can be extended to other genres too. Now, if you feel the act of fitting in a 2 sentence horror is creepy in itself, I got to say it is challenging but people have done that on forums across the net. Sample from "reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/1iwylh/what_is_the_best_horror_story_you_can_come_up": 1. There's nothing like a laughter of a baby. Unless its 1 AM and you are all alone! 2. Don't be scared of the monsters, just look for them. Look to your left, to your right, under your bed, behind your dresser, in your closet but never look up, she hates being seen. 3. I cant breathe, speak or hear and its so dark all the time. If I knew it would be this lonely, I would have been cremated instead. What say, friends?

Wow, now that is some discussion. Regarding the book Confederacy of dunces, i have read a lot of glowing reviews about it but somehow never got my hands on it. This is the time. Also I have heard that David Sedaris' books are funny. Was searching for all time best humor day before yesterday when again came across his name. Will check, now!
Hello Kanish! There isn't anything in the world better than The Hitchhiker's Guide. The audio book version is even better... However, for my money and sense of humor, I really enjoy Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. The first one is One for the Money. The farther along you go in the series, the funnier they get. They may not be your cup of tea, though...
Trying hard to write after the continuous grind in 30 day Image contest(bitem:1911718)!A lull after the storm!
