Just wanted to put out a public thank you to all those who've reviewed my work, specifically my poems over the last little bit! I never know how to reply to them since they're some of my earliest works. I love that people still not just read and review, but also connect with them after all this time!
Kåre เลียม Enga Author Icon - Yes, I am too. I'm hoping to stretch my fingers out a little bit. We bought a house the summer of 2024, so between dealing with that, also been crocheting a lot! So hoping the spurts are a bit longer for me.
Bernie Author Icon - My interruptions come due to travel. Travel gives me stuff to write about but boredom and daydreams allows me to actually write.

I've added a new entry to my book, "One of These Days" :
         "Workin' it" 
After an emotional and busy 2024, I've finally started writing. I'm hoping to be able to spend 2025 doing more creative things. Getting back to the things I've enjoyed doing. Writing, I'm hoping, will be one of those things. I've finished obligations and now would like to do things for myself that aren't under any timelines.

Hoping that now that we've got our house, there isn't anything I have to wait for or expect this next year. I've missed writing and have hated that between the new house, loss of my cats, and stuff that I put on my own plate, I didn't have the time to write or if I did, I didn't have the mental space for it. I've had ideas of current WIPs run through my head. So I'm hoping that I can finally expell them.

I'm just proud that I've currently written 780 words. I thought rewriting an old completed novella might be something that could get me back into the thick of it. I'm hoping that I'm right.

Does anyone else really enjoy doing the character and world building for their new WIPs?

Maybe because it helps me feel creative when the actual writing is blocked, but I love how it helps me flesh out my story too.

Okay, I just really aged myself there and I think I might need a place to sit. How has it been twenty years? Was I really only fourteen (very nearly fifteen)?
