Welcome to the place where you can read and review other people's work, visit groups like the Senior Center I see noted above. There are activities, writing contests, and groups of all kinds where you can meet fantastic people.

What you do to make a friend is to click on the plus sign to the right of a white envelope (that is your email). click the plus sign twice and it will turn a gold color. When the person responds by turning your plus sign gold, then you will be listed as a fan. You will be able to see each other's notes on the newsfeed. Fans are listed under the heading Favorites at the top of the right-hand panel.

In the future, you can click their name and jump right to their portfolio. I have sent you a review of the piece you linked on the newsfeed. I see four other writings to read. Feel free to look around my place especially if you need some ideas of the areas available to you for example your biography under the biography tab. If you need any help, just ask.
