I keep thinking I'm now writing the opener, but as the story evolves, it's still the middle. I need to trek farther and farther back to get where I am going.
I have a crazy idea for the Show, Don't Tell Contest. What I have imagined might be too far in left field to execute to the state I want it to be. I have a rough progression of where this is going right now, but the logistics to have it all make sense seem out of reach.

I wouldn't call it writer's block. It's more like "Objection! That doesn't make sense."
Lately, I've been dabbling with an idea for a middle or high school age, coming of age story. I have scraps of what I think would be the first chapter done.

I guess I'm looking to figure out: Where do I go? What is the process to becoming an author?
