I've added a new entry to my book, "Nathaniel's future books" :
         "Another entry between books" 

This is to set up new entries for my NaNo 2024 attempt. I have an idea...I have a plot...I even have a place to put it. Let's see if i can do it this time. So far I am 3/6 for NaNo
Look, it's my shocked emojii! *Shock2*

I am at about 10k more than halfway through. I doubt I'm gonna make it. I had been planning this...so of course I can't finish it. Gonna keep going...and save the rest for starting in Jan....cause I'm insane.

I have the plot...just no time, or desire with all the stupid crap going on at my house right now. Totalled car, sick parent, having to give up jobs because of totalled car.

Right around Christmas...of course.

Adulting SUCKS!!
Well, it's Official. I AM doing NaNo...I was able to keep the Muse placated until today. Let's see how far I can get.

And then start again in January.

Go ahead and start early! *Laugh* I try not to bottle up inspiration. My Muse will make me pay if I do.
Maybe you could go ahead and begin your story by writing a character's backstory? Or a first chapter that might not make it into the book, and start with another first chapter on Nov 1? Just don't count the words in your NaNo count and it'll be fine *Sneaky* (NaNo Rebel!)
I don't think I'm doing NaNo this year...but I didn't plan on it in 2020 either. It just happened.

BUT, in case it doesn't, I have decided to torture myself with this:

Any help would be appreciated. It's gonna be a long year. But on the plus side, I'm working out what I want to do for some of it.

Yeah, not going to make NaNo this year...no surprise. Only about 17k words, with 12 days left.

When I plan, nope. Unplanned like the last 2 years...BOOM 50k words without a pause.

No more planning. Just letting my Muse talk. Not giving up, just not making 50k with my schooling and crap going on.

I am hopeful (of course I now just jinxed it) for NaNo this year. It's day 5, and I am 8k words in. This is almost last years pace...just much earlier in the month.

All hail Lenore so she continues to let me write... Light a candle, say a prayer...any help is appreciated. This is not the time for her to go missing.

I even have an entry not counted in the word count that lists ideas for one of the entries...it's ALMOST like I planned this...HA

Haunted Sox, that is very good advice, to which I can add. Make sure you have a spare USB stick or two. Backing your work up is very important.

I moved it into it's own book. This is my 2020 unexpected NaNo novel. It's here if anyone wants to read it. Some of it is sealed with a passkey that is in the into how to get it.
I'm taking 2, count them 2 compressed summer classes to work on my degree. So, what is that a good time for?

Completely reorganizing my portfolio, merging books to free up book entries, deleting stories...whole false started books.
