Getting old? Nature’s revenge.


Hold it in,don’t pass Gas.
Ladies don’t do that!
That’s what mom always said .
A law ingrained into my head.

The mother of four boys,
I learned about smells and noise .
A gas mask needed to walk in a room,
my God, what pungent fumes.

Being kids, they had a righteous reason.
I thought it was deliberate treason.
Two were my new stepsons.
Two arrived from conception.

It seemed like an unholy war.
Battle lines to fight for.
Maybe some new test?
To see who I loved best.

They grew up, have boys of their own.
Do they have fart zones?
As for me, being old and gray,
Nature has come out to play.

So this word of advice to my fellow seniors:
Never trust your body!
If you feel the rumble, don’t be humble,
find the nearest potty.

60 years ago today "The Beatles" made their debut on The Ed Sullivan Show. 73 million people tuned in and changed the cultural/music scene forever. I was 11 and thought I'd died and gone to paradise.

I was 8 years old when The Beatles came out. This is when I discovered music
I loved The Beatles. I saw them on Ed Sullivan and I was all excited. I got their albums. I got a Beatles Notebook, Wallet, trading cards and Beatles magazines. George was my favorite. I have a faded 8 by 10 picture of Yhe Beatles on top of a book shelf. I have their movies A Hard Days Night and Help. I loved them.

I haven't been on here very much lately and I am sorry-am having a couple of surgeries done-nothing serious but just not feeling too well. Thanks so much for all the anniversary wishes. You all are the best and I miss writing and each of you. Hope to be back real soon!!!

I don't know how many of you have followed this young beautiful woman's story. She appeared on AGT last year and touched hearts with her lovely voice, attitude and face. I don't watch the show much but saw her on CNN's Chris Cuomo show. He checked in with her frequently to see how she was doing with terminal cancer. I saw today that she had died at the age of 31. She has been on Instagram, giving updates and remaining optimistic until the end. RIP, beautiful lady. You are soaring now.
