Notes by Jimmy E. Durham, RN, in chronological orderNotes by Jimmy E. Durham, RN
I am now hoping to be back more frequently now. I lost most of my my family the past 3 years, so I've not been in a writing place.
I'm so sorry for your loss! But I'm glad to see you here, even if you don't write for now. I'm not writing either, ATM. But I still enjoy WdC.❤️
I'll be coming back soon friends. Life has beaten my ass. I'll return soon when I'm healed more and not knocking at death’s door like girls scout trying to make cookie quota.
Sorry to hear you've been having a hard time. Gives you more feeling to write about, however. Will look forward to reading your works.
After an extended absence, I am back! *Cool*
I'm returned from an unexpected illness that has kept me from my life, including WDC. I'm working responding to emails and review requests, so if you've submitted a request to me, please know I will give it my full attention. Thanks guys! I've missed this place!
Welcome back *Bigsmile*
hi J.E,

Glad you are back.
Don't sweat it, comrade. We all get thrown a curve ball sometimes. I work 2 jobs and go to school while trying to raise that last little fledgling left in my nest without benefit of a proper role model for him. The girls were easy - just raise 'em to be like me!
My only request is that you get well and tend your muse at your own pace. Tag: *Doctor*
Peace be yours.
Thrilled and grateful for the recognition of my story

Ohhh my, I have a 12 hour shift tomorrow. Gonna have to be up by 0500 to be at work by 0645....Totally not a morning person
So which branch did you serve in or grow up with?
Cheri Annemos Author IconMail Icon, my dad was a marine, and I was Air Force ROTC in high school and college. Additional, we use military time in nursing at the hospital. I've never bee able to escape military time! *Smile*

You work or grow up military as well?
My dad served a stint in the Navy, then he met my mom, fell in love and decided to have a bunch of kids instead of re-upping. I was seriously considering the Air Force for a while, but my dad said I would get the boot because my mouth would get me in trouble all the time.

I've had a busy week and a half that has kept me away from WDC. Thanks to everyone who has been reading my stories, and thank you for the reviews, merit badges, and other recognitions. I am going to reach out to each of you individually, but I wanted to let you know I deeply appreciate your kind words in the meantime. Thanks again!!

Thanks to everyone who helped me out with a review of my story. I incorporated some of the feedback for a new revision. I'd love it if anyone with the time could give it a second pass through. With this revision I'm gonna leave it for a bit, but I'd like to see if I'm on the right road.

Hi guys! I'm actively soliciting feedback on this story as I make final preparations for submission to a literary publication, my first. I'm in dire need of some feedback especially if you've read it previously- I incorporated prior suggestions. Thanks and let me know if and when I can return the favor. For now, I'm offering GPs

Turns out the local public library offers access to free online continuing education classes. Many of those classes look interesting and professionally practical and others are "The Art of Breathing." I can't lie; the imp in me is dying to find out what sort of art breathing has to offer!

Don't knock it. When done correctly, breathing can keep you alive. So many people never give it a second thought.
You're absolutely right. I found the title of the course humorous, not the content. I'm a firm supporter of breathing techniques for use against anxiety and stress and pain reduction. The title reminded me of a couple offered electives when I was in college: "Introduction to Walking" and "Advanced Walking" I was flummoxed by their existence
I usually pass up the breathing and walking courses (been there, done that)for the eating courses. I find I can never consume enough courses of food without still wanting more.
