| I want to thank all those who celebrated my birthday with me with badges and awards and c-notes and those belated wishes. I am sorry it took me so long to thank you, but I so emotionally moved that it took me until now to be able to express how happy you guys made my day. | I want to thank each and every one of you for your heart warming wishes for me and my family during this sad occasion. I am so thankful for this community and the people who make it up. Reading your posts, Using the character counters to publish death notices and all the love and support from all of you. I will survive and grow more as I am even more determined to finish my project. I have most of my game lore done or researched out waiting for camp Nano lol. I am currently studying Game engines and the math routines for leveling up characters, items and other aspects of popular games. Currently I am studying the leveling system in Diablo three. I want to see how it works when you get a character to para-level 1000. I'm at 580 now so still a ways to go. I like the concept of hold a fixed level 70 and having a second system to add points in a controlled boost. |
| ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** Randy Lynn Owings died on January 7, 2016. He is survived by his older brother Brett R. Owings and his younger brother Rudy J Owings. He was born the son of Hilda Marly and Stanely E Owings both deceased. He will be buried at Restlawn Memorial Garden on January 29, 2016, with his sister Rita Sue Owings. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm. There will be a meal afterwards for family and friends. Directions will be given out at the gravesite. Note: This is the obit I wrote for my brother who died. I will be gone the rest of the week taking care of his estate. thank you all for caring and understanding. |
| Yea, I just made the 50k goal line in nano. Now I'm mid deep in a novel that I intend to finish it this month. Cook a turkey and one ham. Stuff my self silly or until my tummy says not only no, but Hell no! I'm resetting my goals to 100,000 words done in one month. It will be a first for me. I have improved so much I can now write 50k in around two weeks If I can keep this up I can finish all my books in a short time to have all nine in a rough draft. What an amazing thing to see happen. I owe it all to the wonderful people on this site with the incredible reviews and great suggestions. For reading horrible writing and trying your best to show areas I needed improvement in beside everything. I learned that by taking and reviewing the newbies, how to do creative writing. As I'm sure you guys practiced on my writing. I had a few laughs over a few. I had a few learning lessons and I learned more about writing then I ever wanted to know by reviewing newbies. I just want to tell everyone A Great Big Thank You! and a Happy Thanks Giving or a Happy Time to all no matter where you live or what you celebrate this time of the year! |

| Look at what I just won ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** It took me all of this morning to finish. I missed out on Nano last year by 5,000 words. I just finished this year with 52,137. I know baring I get blood poisoning again i plan on winning NaNo this year. I won it 2013. Now on to other things in my life. |
| I just uploaded the three chapters to book four I just wrote for camp nano I have done 5,027 words so far. Take a read if your interested the link is "Invalid Item" I know these are rough drafts, but I am interested if the third person POV is working or needs more work. | I am starting camp nano in July. I'm running the PDG alumni activities and I just challenged the Mentees and Mentors of The Newbie Academy. Good thing I can knock out a few 1000 words in the morning hours leaving me free the rest of the day. You know some days being a newbie writer helps because I don't get stuck on words or grammar or punctuation I just let the words flow and try to type as fast as my thoughts are going so I don't miss one word. The fun part is editing these newbie rough drafts. That is why I write my time line, characters with attributes I used in the current chapter as I rushed through it. I need to keep adding chapters to all nine of my series novels. Why not take advantage of Nano Camp? Besides my muse is beating me over the head telling me to start writing now. I will, I just will do all my set up ,characters, Plot lines and start timeline and name chapter 1. Then wait for midnight to put text on paper to get my story ideas flowing and put that muse to work being creative instead of jumping up and down like an excited child lol. Oh, cool my package arrived, my new quad core cpu and ram for my new rebuilt computer. The joy of not using a single core processor awaits me. See you all later whenl I get my desk top running. |
