I'd like to throw out a research question, particularly for the ladies out there.

I've been working on a project for some time, and I'm coming to a point in the story where the main couple is inching closer and closer to getting intimate. At this point, it may happen after they have been at a rather formal dinner (tuxes, nice gowns, etc.). The lady has worn a very nice sapphire blue, single-shoulder gown, similar to a toga dress. At the risk of proving myself a rather uninformed male, what kind of bra would a woman wear with such a dress? The gown I see her wearing (based on pictures I've found on the Internet) is sapphire blue, with a wide "strap" over the left shoulder that flares out to fully cover her breasts and not show any cleavage. Her right shoulder would be bare. Any help or suggestions is appreciated. Thanks!
Believability is dependent on how big her breasts are and what stage of life she's in.

Smaller size/younger person can get away with a strapless bra.

Bigger bust/older person could wear a strapless, but more than likely would need a convertible bra with one strap removed + bra/dress tape, or maybe a long-line strapless or corset.

As for the "dependencies" you mentioned -- she is single, in the 25 to 27 range. She works as an emergency room nurse. As for her size, I'mm picturing her as around 5' 4" or so, thin (but not unhealthy) with B- or at most C-cup breasts. I hope that helps.

         For various reasons (including still unpacking from my move to a new home back at the beginning of September), I'm not even at 5,000 words for my NaNoWriMo project. I've got more on various notebook pages (a LOT) more, but I've not had time, it seems to do much transcribing. Here's hoping that changes soon, and I can pull this one off!
