Am I able to increase the points paid on my highlighted items?

Traveling around the country right now. Spent a week in New England, now in Flint, Michigan area. Distressing to see all the hatred and unrest.
Will soon be back to my safe little corner of the world.
Pleased to see I have had a couple of reviews . . .yay! I'll probably wait til I get back to respond. Doing this on my phone.
After an awesome review and recommendation, I've edited my item to allow an "E" rating:

Thank you Ann!
Actually I appreciate everyone that commented or reviewed my poem.

I just watched a taped episode on 20/20 about the Columbine shooting. Mainly about the mother of one of the shooters. I was struck by how her son was contemplating taking his own life and instead took the life of 13 innocent people as well as his own.
A tragic day. *Sad*
I watched the 20/20 episode also. Sue Klebold wrote a book which I'm currently listening to on Audibles. It is very well written and I am saddened by the community and media response to what happened and how the Klebolds were treated. I connected to Sue Klebold who I feel was honest, raw and vulnerable in her retelling of the events leading up to and after that horrible day. I am touched by her story.
The poor mom will be wondering why and dealing with guilt the rest of her life wondering what she could have done. Sometimes there is no logical reason why a person will do what they do. It wasn't her fault, yet there will be many that believe in their minds that she was in some way responsible.

I went back and added review points to my requests for reviews. I don't think I've done that before and I'm hoping it makes an item more tempting to review. *Delight*
I just finished another poem. It's about suicide, please be aware before you read.

It's all working today. I'm preparing to post my latest poem on Facebook tomorrow morning. The suns out, it's going to be close to 80 degrees, I'm happy and almost past another Valentine's Day.
Maybe there is no "like" on people's stories. Maybe the only tool available is to review. I see "like" here in the Notebook. Perhaps there was an update to the website similar to Apps.?
True that. You can click 'like' to someone's newsfeed post, reply and comment but stories as static items you only can review and/or give rating by clicking stars when you scroll down the page where the story is. If someone link their static items in the newsfeed you can open it and read it and like newsfeed post then if you wish to *Smile*.
When I like a written piece, I give them a star rating for the "like". Most items allow for a star without a review.
Maybe Newsfeed is really Notebook??

By the way... I read this note in my personal newsfeed. You're in my favorites list and have been ever since you first joined WDC. *Wink*
Hey, thanks Cinn!

You're welcome, love! *Laugh*
Apparently nothing. I can't get newsfeed to work

Up in the right hand corner of your newsfeed, there is a pull down menu... a filter menu. If you have that set to E, you wont see much of anything in your newsfeed. Set it higher or set it to "No Filter" to see what people are posting.
Yeah, what Kylie said *Up*. Also if you wanna see what people who you didn't 'fan' are posting (like me for example *Bigsmile*) check the left side of your portfolio where it says community, click to that and then when the new tab opens click community newsfeed. Make sure to set your own newsfeed as no filter or GC and below so you will be able to see A LOT of newsfeed posts there, from people you 'fan'd' and those who you didn't fan. I don't think that anyone has E rated newsfeed here, that's why you don't see anything.
My "newsfeed" keeps saying nothing in last 30 days!? Lol, can't find "like" buttons, I am out of whack. *BigSmile*
Thank you, but I am using Chrome right now because I was thinking that might be it. Still no newsfeed.
This is what is on my newsfeed:

Nothing found.

The newsfeed goes back 30 days.
I haven't been on in a long time. No computer and I can't remember how to get advise or review on an item. Any help would be appreciated.
Hey there! Good to see you again! Definitely come back to the Newbies Academy. I'm still hanging out there! Chances are, you may still be on the members roster.

6 or 7 months ago I was checking my email at the kitchen table on my HP laptop when I heard a "pop" and smoke started rising out of my power cord. It booted for about 20 seconds and then shut off. It was 7 years old and I guess time for a new one. I read about Microsoft's new Surface Pro Tablet and pre-ordered that. Just before it was released I decided to get the Surface Book instead. Finally received it, worked through the bugs on my own (Microsoft's Customer support was terrible for me). Now I'm finally back online instead of using my Samsung G5.
Nice to have you back Steven.

Thanks for the postcard! Been playing a lot of Battlefield 4 on my PS4. I guess I'll never grow up.
Question? Our material is copyrighted but in my case and maybe others it is copyrighted under our username. Shouldn't it be copyrighted under our legal name? Any help in answering this would be appreciated.
While not definitive, the policy is located at "Writing.Com Copyright Policy. Your "handle" is registered exclusively to you under your real name. Think of it as publishing under a pseudonym. Your material is still your material.
