It’s like the phrase throughout the entire. It’s redundant. Throughout already implies the whole or entirety of something. *Facepalm* If I read redundant expressions like that in someone’s writing, I anticipate the prose throughout the entire story will be just as distracting to read. *Whistle*
Hmm. I don't think I do that. But truthfully, I'm not sure I'd notice if someone else did. Perhaps if they did it a lot.
Most every sentence is improved if the word “that” is not used.

But, then your sentence would read:
