ัฆอทอทฮ  - I've been hearing about those animations, too, and didn't notice them happening until I did my 7th review yesterday. Pretty nice little incentive.  I'm hugely lacking in determination, and I'd never have managed it without the incentive of an activity I care about participating in (plus, you know, the paycheck ). |
| I have a question for the (WdC) masses regarding reviews you receive. What do you do with reviewer feedback? Say it's for a short story you wrote for a contest that's ended or a one-off you wrote more than a year ago. Aside from fixing typos or glaring grammar errors, do you:  edit the story to try to improve it? take the information as a learning opportunity and leave the story as it is? keep notes on feedback for future reference? other? Thanks for your input!  |
| Since life is kind of unpredictable, I take feedback as a lesson for the future. Unless I've done something totally bone headed like the time I've tried to kill a vampire with a steak instead of a stake. One is meat the other one is for camping and stabbing the hostile undead through the heart. If I've got a glaring mistake that really needs fixed, I'll fix it. Otherwise I'll just try to keep what I find useful in mind for later. |
| I take note of what is said and immediately fix syntax errors (ie invalid links) that they pointed out. Later when I work on cleaning my port I will pull out my notes and decide if I want to work on the pieces or scrap them to make room for new projects. |
Speaking of Secret Valentines...has anyone heard anything recently about this activity? I think it's supposed to start tomorrow...Does anyone know if Legendaryโค๏ธMask  is okay? She hasn't posted anything about it in a couple weeks and I'm concerned.  |

| I'm taking that leap, finally. It's been a long time, and I've missed this community so much I can't begin to say. To start, just a brief (brief? me? I'll try) post to say thank you for thinking of me over the past year...or, how long has it been? I've received messages, MBs, birthday and holiday wishes, snail-mail cards, letters, and kind notes from many of you. It means so much to me that you've taken the time to do these things. Special thanks for the personal notes and snail mail cards and updates from Annette  , Lilli โ  , Schnujo's having school probs  , Always Humble Poet PNG- ๐  , Jeff  , Adherennium  , THANKFUL SONALI On Hiatus  , Clover Shay~Shay Sharmelle  , Jess is 20 on WDC!  . Please forgive me if you should be on this list, it's been a long couple years and my memory--well, you know how it goes. I'm working on it. I haven't written anything real in ages, so I'll be slowly slipping back into this wonderful community. It already feels good to be home.   |

There are several themes/prompts to choose from, but you can only write one entry per month. I'd already written for the second theme when I discovered I really want to write for the last one, too!  You gotta know the themes are great for stimulating your muse into actionโmine's is insisting I write the second one just for the fun of it, so I'm off to get busy with that. Well, it's officially "Back-to-School" here in the U.S. How do we know? School shootings have already started. There was a shooting at a high school in Winder, Georgia this morning (near where my sister lives). At least two people are dead, so far. Back-to-school used to make kids nervous for entirely different reasons.  Update: Four confirmed dead. Suspect in custody. |
Mousethyme - missing luck - Home school them. Best of both worlds. They get educated and you get to play school with them.  I home schooled my son. The best thing I did for his education.  |
| A kid in Utah shoots themselves when they find a parent's gun; 4 dead in a school shooting. I still think we got it right down here. But to those affected by this, best wishes to you all. At least when my kids start school in January the only thing they're worried about is if they are in the same class as their friends, if the bully has changed schools, and if the maths (yes, maths, not math; we do more than one here) teacher who didn't know anything last year has had their contract renewed... |

After I saw this post, I decided to have a wee keek at the item, but I couldn't locate it. So, I'm assuming The Storymaster has already dealt with it.
Two aspects of this community I admire most is the way our members look out for the integrity of the content and the way The Storymaster deals with this kind of thing with amazing alacrity. Thank you, SM.
